Our Consignment Policy Has Changed

posted Oct 6, 2013, 6:41 PM by Linda Smith

We will not be accepting any new consignments until after October 22, 2013.  After that point we will only take consignments by appointments only, so please call to make an appointment.  You will still receive 50% of what the items sells for only if you bring them to us priced out and listed on the spreadsheet.  If you would like us to price your items, you will only receive 40%.

Wondering what we've been up to?

The store has had many consignments come in and also go out.  Many
people have been in inquiring about the consignment plan, since they
are retiring at the end of the school year, and they will start to
bring in items in the near future, so that they do not have as much to
do the last month of school.  If you are looking for anything in
particular, please email me and I will let you know if it comes in on

If anyone is looking for realistic vegetables, someone brought in 4
bags of them. I also have a large Judy/Instructo clock, a classroom
set of 26 individual Judy clocks, a hop Scotch rug, a 15 gal. aquarium
with a wrought iron stand, recently marked down to $30.00, many new
books, 2nd grade Discovery Works Activity cards for Earth Through
Time, and too many other new items to mention.  At the present time, I
have items from the spring theme out, as well as, the circus theme.
Once Easter is over, I will have many hands on activities for the
transportation theme.

The furniture that we have in the store includes: a dry erase/ chalk
easel for $40.00, which is in almost brand new condition,a dry erase
easel for $20.00, and a teaching cart with 2 shelves and a cupboard at
the bottom for $30.00. I also have pictures of a large fold up art
center with 3 shelves on the inside of the two fold up doors with a 4
ft. middle section with 3 shelves that are divided, 3 forward facing
tiered bookcases, and a media center.  I can send pictures to you, if
you are interested, since we do not have enough room for those items
in the store, but we can pick them up and deliver them to you.

Please refer us to teachers who are retiring and wondering what to do
with all of the things that they have purchased over the years. We are
a 50/50 consignment store with the people who are consigning
determining the price of their items.   It is surprising how much
money retired teachers have received from the items that they were
going to throw away.

I hope that all of you are having a good teaching year and please stop
in soon and visit us.
